After line 106: code: $date = $html -> convert_time($palPosted);
I added: code:
$date = date('l, d F y', $palPosted);
To make the date a little bit more "human readable" To change the way the date is fomatted go here . Would be cool if the editconfigpal.php page would let you select how you want the date displayed BTW: IIP rocks JustDave!!! I can't thank you enough for coding it (time to send you a donation)!!!

Now if I could just figure out how to make the text read:
"Posted on 28 Sept 02 by Dalantech"
all on one line...

Oh cool! I haven't downloaded the 5.1 version yet. I had done some hacking with it and it's working... so no need to recreate the wheel. :P I had PayPaled him some well deserved funds when 5.0 came out.

I'll have to look but everything on the front page should be going through the .threads download.php script. If they don't have access to the board the attachment is posted in they don't get the file.
I'll check right now. Perhaps I missed one. Is this the newspal.php or the attachmentlist.php script that's allowing this?

As far as I can tell everything is using the download.php file in .threads to check their access to the board it's posted in before following through on the download.
If you have "force public" on only those attachments available to "guests" will be available too. I'm not sure how your running though. Do the users downloading the files have access to the boards they are listed in?

I cleaned this thread up a bit. I didn't want things getting out of hand. I'd like to thank everyone for their support. I must admit there are days when I don't even want to turn the computer on and it's support like this that jump starts the motivation.
